$1499 Canada ACFB Payment November 2025
The Alberta province supports low and middle-income families with children through the Alberta Child and Family Benefit to help them with the cost of raising children and managing their living expenses.
The provincial government intends to reduce the financial pressure on families and poverty in the province. The Canada Revenue Agency administers the ACFB payment for the province and processes payment in four installments – in February, May, August, and November.
Based on the adjustments, the families can receive the maximum payment of up to $1499 for the base component. So, if you are waiting for the November 2025 payment, you can expect the payout to be processed on 27 November 2025.

Who will receive the ACFB payment?
The Albertans who meet the following eligibility conditions can receive the ACFB payment from the CRA:
- You must be the parent or guardian who has full responsibility for the children and their upbringing.
- The child’s age must be below 18 in the tax year, and you must be living in the province and have paid & filed the tax return for the respective tax year.
- You must meet the income threshold set for the ACFB payment; your payment will be reduced if the limit exceeds $27,565, and it will phase out if it exceeds the value of $46,191.
What will be your payout under ACFB?
If you meet the ACFB eligibility conditions and filed the tax return, you are automatically considered for the benefit. The CRA processes the ACFB payout based on the number of children claimed as dependents and the income level in the tax year.
ACFB benefit has two components: base component (support regardless of employment status) and working component (Additional support to working families). The working component payout is offered to those families where the annual earned income is over $2760.
The ACFB payout for the new financial year, July 2025 to June 2026, is based on the number of children as follows:
Number of Children | Base Component | Working Component
Annual Amount | Payment Amount per month | Annual Amount | Payment Amount per month
One | $1499 | $124.91 | $767 | $63.91 |
Two | $749 | $62.41 | $698 | $58.16 |
Three | $749 | $62.41 | $418 | $34.83 |
Four or more | $749 | $62.41 | $138 | $11.50 |
What changes must you report to receive appropriate ACFB payments?
If your family situation changes, your ACFB payment will be affected; hence, you must update the CRA about the changes to receive the appropriate and on-time payment without any issue of underpayment or overpayment.
The family situation or changes you must report to the CRA to continue receiving your ACFB payout are:
- If you have welcomed a new child into the family, you must inform the CRA about the new addition to receive the entitled payment.
- If you are leaving the Alberta province, you must inform the agency, and if you have already left and are still receiving the payment, you may have to return the payment.
- If you lost the child custody or the child is no longer living with you, or is over the age of 18, you must inform the CRA.
It’s important to keep your household status updated with CRA, the agency reassesses the eligibility for the benefit regularly to ensure families receive the money they deserve.
What if you do not receive your ACFB payment on time?
CRA will process the ACFB payment on time, so that all the beneficiaries receive it on the scheduled date; however, if you do not receive it on time, you should take the following action:
- First, you should wait for the five business days, as sometimes the payment may reflect in your bank account a little late, or there can be some technical issues.
- However, if you do not receive it even after five days, you can contact the CRA at 1800-959-8281.
The CRA will respond with the appropriate reasoning for your payment delay or check what’s delaying your payment.
CRA will process the next ACFB payment in November 2025, so the eligible recipients should check their bank account or others’ problems; as this can create problems in their payment processing and resolve them on time.
