Canada $15630 Disability Tax Credit in 2025
The Canadian government provides support to people with any impairment or their families with the disability tax credit. The credit helps families to lower their tax payments they owe and allows them to keep more of their earnings.
The government understands that a disability can bring extra expenses for families or individuals, hence they are offered some tax relief through this credit. The tax credit for the tax year 2025 will be the same as the 2024 tax year, as it is not renewed annually.
The adults aged 18 and above receive a fixed amount of disability tax credit, whereas there is a supplement for dependent children as well. So, based on the CRA, you can claim the following credit:
| Age | Credit amount |
| Age 18 or above | $9872 |
| Supplement for Children under 18 | $5758 |
| An adult with a child | $5758 + $9872 = $15,630 |
