The Department of Work and Pensions offers Personal Independence Payment every month, and its payment date is determined by your first payment. Recipients can easily estimate the PIP payment dates; however, this December payout date can be early for some recipients. Recipients can check who will receive the early PIP payments this December.
The PIP benefit helps people with long-term mental or physical health or disability that limits their working capability with extra costs. The benefits have two parts: the daily living part and the mobility part to support the beneficiaries.
The DWP offers the PIP payment every four weeks, and the highest payout comes when you qualify for both components’ highly weekly rates, such as £187.45. The early payment dates for the PIP benefit are due to the Christmas holiday.
When can you expect your DWP PIP December 2025 payments?
When you apply for the DWP PIP benefit and your application is approved after the health assessment and interview, you will receive the DWP PIP payment after your difficulty or mobility level is determined.
Once the decision is made, you will receive the decision later that will mention your first payment date, payout amount, and the period when your PIP claim will be under review. So, after the first payment date is decided, your payment dates will follow a four-week interval.
After the four weeks, if your PIP payment falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will be processed on the next business day. The same is happening with the next month’s payout, as we have two holidays coming on 25 December (Christmas) and 26 December (Boxing Day). So, if your PIP payment date falls on 25 or 26 December 2025, you will receive the payment on:
- 24 December 2025 (Wednesday)
How much PIP payout will you receive?
The PIP payments have two parts – daily living parts (when you need help for everyday tasks) and mobility parts ( when you need support to move around). The payout rate will depend on the density of your difficulty, which will be determined after your health assessment.
Here’s the PIP benefit amount for December 2025, based on the April 2025 increment:
| Component | Lower Weekly Rate | Higher Weekly rate |
| Daily Living Part | £73.90 | £110.40 |
| Mobility Part | £29.20 | £77.05 |
The above payments are mentioned for each week; hence, the payout will be more every four weeks. The payout will be higher if you qualify for the DWP PIP components. The PIP payment will be increased from April 2026 based on the expected 3.8% rate for most claimants.
What can affect your DWP PIP payments?
Your PIP payments can be affected due to certain conditions and factors that you should learn about, such as:
- If you receive the Constance Attendance Allowance from the DWP, your PIP daily living part payment will be reduced a little bit.
- If you receive the War Pensioners Mobility Supplement from the UK government, your mobility part of PIP will be dismissed.
- If your health or personal circumstances change, that can either increase your difficulty or improve your health.
What should you do if your PIP December 2025 payment is not processed?
The DWP will generally process the PIP payment on the payment schedule as per your first payment. If your PIP December 2025 payment is not processed on the scheduled date, you should take the following action:
- You should check your bank account and see if there is an issue with the bank or not.
- You should have reached out to the PIP enquiry line at 0800 121 4433 between Monday to Friday, between 9 AM to 5 PM.
What other benefits will be affected and receive early payments this December?

- Attendance Allowance
- State Pension
- Carer’s Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance
- Jobseekers Allowance
