- You have requested or obtained video content on the AARP website while residing in the USA during the class period 27 September 2020 and 12 September 2025.
- When you registered as a user on the AARP, you also had a Facebook Account between the class periods.

How much can you receive under the AARP settlement?
Under the AARP settlement, the settlement fund is $12.5 million, where the valid claimants will receive the payout through equal distribution after the funds deduct the attorney’s fees & costs (30% of the fund), administration expenses, and service awards for the plaintiffs ($10,000 each).
The net settlement fund will be used to compensate the class members through Pro Rata distribution. So, the payment amount for the individuals can be the same; however, the amount depends on the number of claims filed.
According to the settlement administrator’s estimates, the class members can expect a payout between $47 and $237. The payout amount can change in the future as it will be evaluated based on the claims filed and other factors.
How to claim the AARP settlement?
Before you move to file the AARP Settlement claim form, know that you will need to attach your Facebook profile link in the claim form, and if your account is deactivated or you can’t access the account, you can provide the link in the following format: https://www.facebook.com/FirstNameLastName/Inactive
Once you have your Facebook profile link, you can move to claim the AARP settlement in the following ways:

- Next, enter your Unique ID and PIN, which you received via the settlement notice, to log into the portal and access the claim form.

When can you expect the AARP settlement payout?
The AARP class action settlement final hearing is scheduled on 10 February 2026. So, until the federal court approves, the payment distribution will not begin. Hence, you have to wait for the final approval, and afterwards, you can expect the payout in 3 to 6 months if no one appeals the approval.
If someone appeals against the federal court decision, the settlement administrator will have to wait till it is resolved and take any action regarding the payment distribution.
