The Government of Alberta is all set to send out the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped and Income Support payments for November 2025 on time. Here, we have discussed the payment date, amount, eligibility and other details.

Note that the AISH and IS payments are received via direct deposit and paper cheque, and the date for each is confirmed. The release dates for both vary from one another. If you get the payment via direct deposit, your payment will be received shortly.

If you get an AISH or IS payment via paper cheque, you need to know it takes up to a week to be received in the mailbox. The payout amount for the beneficiaries is going to be the same as the previous, as no changes have been announced so far.

What is the November 2025 AISH and Income Support payment date?

The payment dates for the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped and Income Support are announced by the Government of Alberta. The direct deposit is going to be received four business days before the first of November 2025, and the paper cheque is going to be sent out six business days prior. 

As the direct deposit is going to be received four business days prior, it will be received by beneficiaries of AISH and IS on October 28, 2025. The paper cheque will be sent out six business days earlier; as the 25th and 26th of October 2025 are Saturday and Sunday, it will be mailed on the 24th of the month.

Note that because of the Canada Post service disruption, the paper cheque may face an unexpected delay to be received. The AISH and IS payment may be delayed by two weeks and even more. If you don’t get affected, it is highly recommended to you to switch to direct deposit from the paper cheque.

What is the monthly payment amount for AISH and IS?

If you are a beneficiary of Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped, you can get a maximum monthly payment of $1,787. It helps you with food, clothing, shelter and basic personal needs. Note that you may also get extra benefits depending on your situation:

Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped

  1. You are 18 years or older.
  2. You live in Alberta.
  3. You have a severe or permanent disability.
  4. Your disability stops you from working.
  5. You have low income and few assets.
  6. You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee.

Income Support

  1. You are 18 years or older.
  2. You live in Alberta.
  3. You have little or no income.
  4. You have few assets.
  5. You are looking for work, in training, or unable to work temporarily.
  6. You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee.

Additionally, it is mandatory that you have applied for the certain benefit online, by phone, or at an Alberta Supports Centre.

How to set up a direct deposit to get AISH or IS payment?

To set up a direct deposit for the AISH or Income Support payment, please follow the instructions given below.

1). Go to the official website of the Government of Alberta at https://alberta.ca/.

2). Find and click on the option that reads ‘Financial assistance for people with disabilities’.

3). Now, you will see an option that reads ‘AISH and Income Support’; tap on it.

4). Here, you will see an option that reads ‘Sign up for direct deposit’ and get redirected to another webpage.

5). Tap on the Direct Deposit Registration form, and download it, and write VOID on an unsigned cheque and attach it to the form.

6). Lastly, you have to provide the documents to an Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) worker.
