Late Er. Rosha’s illustrious career spanned over 42 years, marked by unparalleled expertise in arbitration, contract management, and technical advisory for large-scale infrastructure projects. A gold medalist from Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh, he played a pivotal role in transforming healthcare infrastructure at Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) and as the Head of the Engineering Department at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Beyond his professional accomplishments, his tenure as President of the ASCE India Section NR highlighted his commitment to fostering engineering excellence and mentorship. We are deeply grateful to his family (Buvneet Rosha) for graciously consenting to receive this award on his behalf.

Vij’s illustrious career spans over five decades, during which he established himself as a leading expert in rail project development, signaling systems, and geotechnical solutions. An alumnus of Cornell University and the University of Delhi, he has held prestigious positions such as Chairman of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited and President of ASCE Indiana Section. Renowned for his exceptional leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams across global rail infrastructure projects, His contributions have significantly advanced transportation systems and infrastructure development. His unwavering dedication to innovation and excellence sets an enduring benchmark for aspiring engineers worldwide.
Prof. G. L. Sivakumar Babu
A visionary in geotechnical engineering, Prof. Babu serves at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where his pioneering work has redefined the fields of probabilistic methods, geosynthetics, and disaster mitigation. His extensive research, which includes critical advancements in environmental geotechnology and reinforced soil structures, has earned him international acclaim. As President of the Indian Geotechnical Society and Governor of ASCE Region 10, Prof. Babu’s leadership and expertise have profoundly influenced the trajectory of sustainable engineering practices. His tireless efforts to integrate cutting-edge research with practical applications underscore his commitment to shaping a resilient and sustainable future for the civil engineering community.
