Note that the payment for the individuals who received a pre-filled notice or confirmation letter has already received their payment on September 15, 2025 and after that. And those who recently filed it will get it in the next few days through the payment method they have chosen.
Who is eligible for this program?
To get the benefit of the NJ ANCHOR program, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility requirements set by authorities.
As an homeowner:
- You must have owned and live in home in NJ on October 1, 2024,
- You must have paid property tax on that home, and
- Your gross income for the 2024 return shouldn’t exceed $250,000.
As a renter:
- You must have rented and occupied a residence in NJ on October 1, 2024,
- Your name must be available lease or rental agreement and you must have paid the rent the property, and
- Your adjusted income for 2024 must not exceed $150,000.
How to get the benefit?
To get the NJ Anchor Program 2025 benefit, one who hasn’t received a pre-filled notice or confirmation letter from the NJ Division of Taxation, is required to fill in the application. Note that seniors and social security disability recipients can use form PAS-1.
How much can I get?
The payout amount received under the NJ Anchor Program 2025 differs from one another for homeowners and renters, go through the table below to check what you can get.

If you meet the above income limit and you are above 65 years old, you will get an additional $250 under the NJ Anchor Program 2025.
Note that if you are above 65 years old as a homeowner with income equal to or above $150,000, you will get a payout of $1,750, and if your income is between $150,001 and $250,000, you will get the payment of $1,025. As a tenant with an income limit equal to or above $150,000, you will get a payout of $700.
When to expect that payment?
The payout under the NJ Anchor Program 2025 is received within 90 days after the application submission. If you have filed it online, you will get the direct deposit, and whoever filed on paper will receive the paper check.
Note that the direct deposit is going to be received within 72 hours, and the paper check will be received within a week. Ensure that the mailing address and banking details are accurate, because errors may result in delays.
